My dog died 2 months ago also at the ripe old age of 14.

I'm still not over it and have moments when I get all teary eyed thinking about him. Feels like losing a child to me. He'd always lay right near me while I was working.

I don't think you really can get over it. The saddest part about dogs and cats is they only last about 10 years on average. That's really not much time when you think about it.

I've been looking around, but don't think the time is right for me yet.
