i don't know you and I have no problem with you, but I disagree with your position..
I only know the local copyright laws where I am at, but your position would not hold up here.. if you don't have a contract saying that you are entitled to use the work then you best pay up..
saying that you forgive him 67$ is just a run around.. imo.. come on.. it's 500$.. protect your rep.. that must be worth more than 500 bucks..
