Saying 'i don't like long ties' is a VERY weird excuse. A tie is as long as you tie it...wait, unless they are CLIP-ONS

-If you wear a tie, tie it so it ends approximately AT the (top) button of your pants.
-If your (dress) pants have loops...gotta put a belt in 'em.
-and the color of that belt better match the color of your shoes...
So, these aren't exactly optional...if you're gonna dress up, do it right. the rules are rather simple, really. some dress rules may be broken, but if you break them, you better do it in style. otherwise you're gonna look like a fool, which you demonstrate very nicely on this pic. this isn't anything personal, since i dont know you, and im sure you're a nice guy, these are just friendly tips from one man to another. you don't have to be a full-blown metrosexual to dress well, just obey some basic rules.
