whichever one you go with, I'd get an LCD as they last longer, make sure it is an HDTV as quite a few manufacturers throw out plasma tvs that are not so they can offer them cheaper. A lot of low resolution screens out there cheap too so research it. For plasma I'd get a Sony, Pioneer, Phillips or Fujitsu (
P42HHA30WS). For LCD I'd get a Sharp.
