Why do you need to BUY? RENT!!
Do you need the trouble of owning property in a 3rd world country? of getting tied down to one place?
I don't know for sure about the Philippines. But I can tell you that legal protection in Brazil sucks. You can lose your titles. You can be cheated. You have to deal with shoddy construction, with builders etc.
You can be sued for anything for some stupid reason. If you don't have property, they will not sue you because they cannot get any money out of you.
