One a gige feed with 10-15% saturation, our bill was around $40k a month, that was level 3 in early 2001.

and i still hate verio, mostly from the sales side. network was 'ok' at best, routing in san diego to primary cable network(s) was shit poor. their HSRP implementation didn't work right, etc. The premier NOC was nice though, I got to be on pretty good terms with those guys..

a few years back my 16 year old friend had to explain how to do reverse DNS to them on the phone one time.. they also randomly blocked off a couple thousand of our TCP ports one day for no reason.. "oops" i think they said. heh.
