Well, that's not really my opinion that beauty is important, that's society's opinion, in general society places a lot of importance on looks as according to the study I posted about above. I am not saying if that is right or wrong, but unfortunately that's the way that it is so if you happen to have looks you might as well accept that sometimes you might have a slight advantage, no matter how unfair that may seem.
Well, if someone were to have a disfiguring accident, all they could do is just learn to live with it, just as anybody else would have to. What else could you do? Hopefully that person would have other skills they can depend on, but if you have booth looks and smarts it would be rather stupid not to take advantage of all of your assets.
