Unfortunately, I am totally ruled-out from being his customer. I run a paysite with an exit console and a warning page. Can't see changing those policies to *pay* for some traffic.

Why not try to make a FPA, or even a small promo gallery - with links leading to your paysite, or an paysite tour optimized for TGP traffic - or a page that promotes sponsor you use to squeeze a dime out of cheapskates?
It's not too hard to work around "problems", if you stop bitching and start thinking.
