Yes that is real, and I have seen some amazing other ones.
I used to have an audio tape of two f16 and 2 f18 departing Tampa Macdill airforce base, south bound for Miami to intercept an in comming lear suspected of having drugs on board.
You can hear the lead pilot saying that they were off, and south bound. Then a senior officer comes on, and says, dont miss this one. The lead pilot returns. We are super sonic and will be there in 3 minutes
Just listening to it gave me chills. I remember hearing some of the fighters leaving the base, and breaking the sound barrier.
