On the Nikons, it's a matter of going into the menu and making whatever changes you need, which we had to do around shoot 3 using this new camera. Ours was set to create a new folder everytime you turned off the camera. Then I learned you didn't have to turn it off, it would basically go to sleep mode by itself based on a time setting. Pushing the shutter button down half-way woke it up, and I could continue on in the same folder
