Well it is a server dedicated to just mysql named www40.domainname.com ..
so sql.www40.domainname.com obviously isn't going to work
and I never assigned a domain to that server or I suppose that would work... so it was always www40.domainname.com/phpmyadmin
It was up as of 9 months ago or so but now I get nothing when I go there so I am assuming they removed the web based access to it and re-assigned the www40server to someone else while leaving my mysql database on it as it wasn't taking much of a hit at the time anyways...
Figured that on the FTP thing... I have an old root user/pass for that server which isn't working any more either... Guess I will have to wait until someone else gets in
