i think all pitbulls should be killed
i'm sorry this happened to your daughter, i'm sure it was *very* scary for you both and i hope she recovered quickly. later in life if her scar is too visible for her comfort there is something called scar revision that plastic surgeons do, just something you might be interested in. *hugs*

what scares me about this post is the last line - anytime someone generalises it scares me though. just because this dog bit your daughter doesn't mean it's because the dog is a pitbull.

for those considering dogs who have children (pussyman i don't know if this includes you) realise that *all* dogs have the potential to bite your child, or you for that matter. domesticating animals is a human thing we've done, it doesn't mean the dogs don't still have innate biological reactions, etc. bully breeds, prior to more recent trends to train them into being fighters, have long been considered family dogs, and great with children. they like to protect their family and they tend to be muscular and able to take the pulling on and teasing that children often exhibit with animals. once upon a time, the pit bull was considered the all-american family dog!

pussyman ~ best of luck in coming to a size agreement on a dog! a chihuahua pit mix would be very strange.
