One way of explaining the difference between erotica and porn is that although some erotica demeans women, all porn does to a lesser extent (softcore) or a greater extent (hardcore/extreme). I seriously doubt most of our customers actually like women very much and I guess that if you work in the industry you either share that point of view or else detach yourself from what it is you are selling.

That has to be especially true when it comes to young models. We not only want them to do things we would not want our daughters and sisters involved in, but we sell them as special precisely because they are young. Maybe the difficulty of justifying that as anything but fairly shameful business is why so few people are able to argue with ebus in a reasonable way.

Raising the minimum age of models to 20 or 21 could mean a few of the girls gaining enough extra maturity to think twice about entering the business and/or about exactly what they agreed to do. It would also prevent us - unless we lied - selling the "teen" fantasy. I wouldn't be sorry to see such changes, although I'm not optimistic they will ever happen.
