Although I don't use a Mac, I do use Cleaner and if it is taking that long, there is a problem.

I encode the final movie into an .avi then run that .avi through Cleaner and spit out .wmv, .RM, & .mov files in multiple bandwidth versions...All in WAY under 3 hours.

Maybe it's time for you to get a PC?
