Ah, what is dead technology?
As soon as Java will be dead we will upgrade all our servers to Flash. Flash is easier way to make video based solutions, but more expensive for site owner. Other sites using Flash because that is easier to create really good java solution, we are doing our best to create top quality software using only our resources. But I agree, quality of Flash based video is a little better than quality of our video, however Flash has limitation on low-bandwidth. Customer can't have bandwidth less than some minimum, or he will be getting pixalated frames of video. In our solution he will alsways get a clean picture, but less FPS rate.
Our solution is 100% without 3rd party components and you pay further only for ongoing hosting.
Anyway you decide, there are 2 options: based on Java and based on Flash, you can compare them.
