Humor and jokes can be a lot of fun but racist slurs are as ign of ignorance and self hatred. If it helps try to realise that if the ppl crossing the line from humor to racism are directing it at you that they already hate themself.
Because well adjusted, open hearted individuals don't dislike a person because of the shade of their skin.
I am from Oz and as you probably know there is still a lot of ignorance here too. People are waking up though.
