No I didn't expect the executive branch to withhold documents and "warn" senators not to request them during the hearings.
Of course you expect a president to fight for his nominee, but that means defending his record, not hiding his record.
Although after the white house has been withholding documents regarding Bolton for this long I guess it shouldn't surprise me.
