lemme help you out here...
backup your outlook express files (instructions here).... u can import them later. copy all your other important files (photos, documents, bookmarks, etc) to the hard drive as well as the folder you've saved all your email backup files. hook up your ext HD to your new laptop & spend the next few hours putting it all onto the new system. its really not that difficult, just time-consuming.
