i think we need questions answered on a variety of fronts. We need to know the nature of the house that was under watch. was it split up into flats and he lived in a flat there and they got the wrong man? Were they watching the wrong house all together?
then we need to know about the nature of the chase. If a group of men in normal clothing pulled guns on me I might run too. Not to mention Stockwell isn't the best area of London (read: dodgy as fuck) and does have gun crime. We need to know at what stage they identified themselves and how. Keep in mind whe this guy comes from and that areas relationship with police violence could also have scared him.
I donot think London police are idiots but in order for the mass public to continue thinking that too we need to have things explained to us. We especially need answers now on the number of shots fired.
Also, this heavy coat theory works now but most of us here know London is a heavy coat city most months of the year.
