but i am old enough to know where the male ear piercing thing started in the USA.
the dicksmokers in san francisco started doing it in the 70's. by the 80's it was some sort of signal, i think in one ear meant some sort sexual interest, the other ear meant something else. same sort of sex code with different color hankerchiefs in the back pockets.
now of course these fashion trends are more mainstream.
was in SF recently, and the rump wranglers still sport lots of ear rings.
so, if my daughter brings home a guy with an ear ring i'll tell her to make him wear a rubber, and get tested for HIV.
and i sure hope my boys don't come home with that shit in their ears.
