Whether the tape made Paris' career or not, I think its pretty analagous to what happened to Tommy Lee. Before he was married to Pamela, he was just the Motley Crue drummer. Then he was the rockstar married to the supermodel... a little more famous. After the tape hit, he was Tommy Lee, the guy with the giant dick that steered a boat with his cock. He's milked that celebrity for about a decade now, not putting out a single piece of listenable music, entertainment, whatever.
