If you just saw how pathetic Lamborghini was, in F1, or whenever they tried to race anything, in the last years, You would know why people prefer Ferraris.
...go down that road and the sexiest cars would be Fords. By the time Ford quit F1, they had won a lot more races than Ferrari. And it's 40 years since Ferrari won at Le Mans. So what? Are you going to shun them in favor of Audi, Porsche, or even maybe a Peugeot?
Put any car you like on a pedestal: your choice. But if you are going to try to justify it, at least try to argue convincingly. Even the stuff about hp/liter is largely irrelevant because engine design isn't just about that and car design isn't only about engines.
