Invade some country that had nothing to do with it like Iraq? Just a guess.
Anyway, that looks like some mighty fine fictional "fear mongering" if you ask me. The dates will come and go, nothing will happen.... people will forget the story but not the fear they feel.
And then the next story will come along.
