Personally, if someone said that 98% of all Canadians were cheaters, I would be very offended, so I can understand how the Russian webmasters are feeling right now. Maybe it's true, and maybe it's just a case of skewed perception, either way, I don't think that a post about one particular cheater, who happens to be Russian, needed to over-generalise and say '98% of all Russians are cheaters'. Seems to me that is just making life even harder for the alleged 2% who aren't, and distorting your original intent.
The first post had elements of a legit warning to webmasters who develop software(assuming you disregard the subject title), but because of it's inflammatory nature ended up feeding sterotypes and starting what it likely to turn into a flame war. What was the point?
