without claws to defend themselves & hunt (mouses, snakes, etc) to survive, they'll die.

im not critizing you for having them declawed, most cat owners choose that option. i, however, didnt. I clip my cats nails once a week so that his nails are dull but he can still climb furniture with very little damage & if he somehow got outside, he would live (even if its not with me.)
