Good GOD this is the most sense in this whole thread......Sonofsam what your problem is that you already knew "too much" before you started your site. When I started mine, I never heard of GFY or a tgp and never read even one porn resource website....I just threw up the site and ignored all of the people who said that shit wouldn't work out.
You took the first big step by actually starting your own site instead of talking about it like 99% of the people you see on here talking about starting their own paysite....Your problem is that you've been around GFY and know about paid listings and affiliates and all of that other shit and now you're bound within the restraints of the adult webmaster community....Now you're bouncing ideas off of webmasters, designers, noobs, and wannabe's who may not know a gotdamn thing in the first place and you have to filter out what is bullshit and what isn't. Just like that thread where you asked if you "should" buy NATS when you already had decided in your mind that you were going to buy it anyway. If it was me, I would have just bought NATS and announced it later.
Do what YOU want to do and if it fucks up, you'll learn from your mistakes...Just like people told me about traffic leaks on a paysite tour and all of that wouldn't work...Well that's bullshit because my non-affiliate tour page is PLASTERED with advertising and I'm looking for more...Why? Because I realized through TRIAL AND ERROR that I could have ten thousand links up on that tour. If I have the skill to hold their attention long enough to get them to the join link, then I will still make sales IN ADDITION to the extra advertising. But if I just listened to assholes who know NOTHING about traffic leaks, I wouldn't have done it and I would have never known the joy of promoting sponsors on a paysite tour page.
Now I'm going to drink some more Brandy and get ta playing some Xboxlive.
