Smack, I did run a complete scan with both, it was the first thing I tried. I'm hoping I won't have to locate my XP CD and do a restore or repair.
When this happens, it doesn't take up any resources either. I can use everything in the system just fine. The right-click just doesn't bring up a menu, it locks windows explorer for about 10 minutes and then it's as if nothing happened.
