SoS, i was not making any assumptions but was in fact covering my basis.
1 - if he had done it for free, he "helped you"
2 - if he had done it at a discounted rate, he "helped you"
3 - if he had charged you full price, he "helped you", because God knows with his volatile nature he could just as well have told you to fuck off.
