it did appear as you described, but there was indeed some technical problems..... but you were pretty quick to jump to a negative conclusion about tom.
If you had ever spoken to Tom, while his role as AVNonline editor, or now at FSC, you would know he is very passionate about issues that effect the biz, and being in the Comm. Director positon, he could have made alot more money elsewhere, but found the position to be a perfect match, so that he can continue to represent the industry in a postive light on key issues.

Yes, I was quickly informed of the technical 'realities'.
Actually, I did get to meet and talk with Tom at San Diego in June at the FSC Symposium on 2257. But he didn't do a lot of talking, (the lawyers did...) and it was clear that he was attempting to still find his 'sea legs' at that point in the organization. I don't fault him.
