Pupil, 11, sold porn at school
A PUPIL at a Catholic secondary school has been suspended after being caught selling pornographic DVDs at £5 each in the playground.
Police were called to St John Lloyd Comprehensive School in Llanelli, after receiving complaints from some parents.
Head teacher Paul White was in urgent talks yesterday with school governors after a number of parents called for the culprit to be expelled.
A Dyfed Powys Police spokeswoman confirmed that officers had visited the school after receiving several reports from concerned parents.
She said that after inquiries they were satisfied the incident did not stem from any external influence.
In a brief statement Mr White acknowledged, "An inappropriate DVD was brought to school by a year seven (aged 11) pupil. The DVD was confiscated by a member of staff and was handed over to the police.
"The parents were informed and the pupil has been given a fixed term exclusion in accordance with policy."
One parent said she had caught her son with friends viewing explicit sex on DVD.
Another parent, tipped off by her 14-year-old son, said, "I was outraged this could be happening in the school.
