What's all the fuss about? I can't say us arguing about it will help, but simply put the United States should not be there. Not now. The time has passed for all those fantasies of riding in on our white stallions and "rescuing" the poor and defenseless Iraqi people.
And not to be cold or heartless, but people, including children, die every day for numerous reasons. And yes, some are preventable. You never want to hear about children dying, but for some reason when this happens in Africa we competely ignore it. The United States does not need to be the sole police force for the world. That is the job of the U.N. And what if we think the UN does a piss poor job? Well too fucking bad, because the world is a big place and the thoughts and feels of the whole world are supposed to be represented.
We have no business being there, but it sure does take our minds of some serious issues, like American citizens losing more and more individual freedoms whilst bickering amongst ourselves for thing that are not our fault and we cannot change.
