Just bought some new equipment ourselves. We went with the XL2's because we wanted full res widescreen and better telephoto capabilities for the out of focus background look without going to a mini35 set up. The only thing that I can tell you is that after weeks of searching and screwing around with 1000's of scam artists (aka digital liquidators, etc) we went with B+H Photo.
