I've been making a comfortable living from such people for most of the 1 1/2 years I've been in this biz.
I'm the same way. I don't actively go looking for plain women, but I will take one with some personality, intelligence, and eagerness over a jaded high maintenance chick, no matter how good she looks, any day.
Not to say its not possible to find both in one package, but you have a better chance of finding the Ark of the Covenant in your grandmothers attic ;)
Its an easy mentality to cater to...
