I understand exactly what you are talking about. I bought the exact same phone as the guys in drinking hard's office. I bought mine for personal use thinking it would be useful and fun. All the fucking phone has caused me is headaches and missed calls. I use it for work as well as home use and I have no service even in the town of Orangeville. I called to complain and I got the run around. Then, of course, I drop my phone in a glass of beer and it no longer worked. I call telus since I had had the phone for a month and ask them what they can do for me since I had been a customer for over 6 years with them (ever since my first cell) and all of my family uses telus. i told them the situation with the phone and asked about a new one (free of course, or with a discount). I was told that it didn't matter and that I had to pay full price.

I had been very nice up to that point because I feel that most people would rather help out a nice person instead of a complete bitch. So anyway, no deal. They told me that i either buy a new phone or cancel my account. I signed up for 3 years just like mark and would have to pay $650 if I cancelled.

I freaked out at this point. Talked to a manager and told him my situation. He told me he would give me a $50 discount. But if I wanted to cancel I had to pay right away and they wouldn't take payments and they didn't want me as a customer anymore.

Well, I didn't get the discount. i bought the phone again cause I am stupid and the service still sux.
Telus is the worst company to work with and they don't care about their customers at all.
All I have been hearing lately is that they are terrible and not worth it.
