Maybe we should take every non-tech user`s computers away....
Are you aware that there are many unpatched IE holes that can compromise your computer`s security?
I find it funny that people have become used to having to spend money on anti-virus,firewalls ,etc. It`s like its normal and that this was always the way computing used to work.

you don't have to spend more on softwares in protecting your PC.
there are tons of freeware applications you can download such as
SpywareBlaster, Ad-Aware, Spybot- Search and Destroy, etc. and as powerful
as those popular apps, like Norton or McAfee, etc. Whether you are techie
or just a newbie to computers, you just have to be more resourceful in
making sure you get the latest updates from Microsoft.
Believe it or not, I still have an Acer MMX Pentium PC (1998) and works just fine. With the proper maintenance and care!
