A DOCTOR who fondled his patients and asked them out on dates has been suspended from practising for at least three-and-a-half years.

Gregory Dominic Lasrado, 64, pleaded guilty in the Health Practitioners Tribunal to making sexual comments to female patients and patting them on the bottom, inappropriately prescribing addictive pain killers and charging patients when he advertised as a bulk biller.
The tribunal also was told he performed unnecessary invasive medical procedures several times without anaesthesia and offered to meet women in hotels for sex.

Anthony Rafter SC for the medical board, said Lasrado told one 20-year-old pregnant woman he was sick of seeing young women pregnant.

Lasrado, father of flamboyant Brisbane businessman Greg Lasrado, came to the attention of the Health Practitioners' Tribunal in early 2003 when three women lodged complaints against him.
