Try Jeff Buckley's "Hallelujah" or Pearl Jam's "Black" or Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb" or NIN's "Hurt" or Radiohead's "Fake Plastic Trees" or Bill Withers "Ain't No Sunshine" or Gary Jules "Mad World"
That's a start. Take it from me, all I listen to is depressing music.

Black has all a different meaning to me now. I always liked, but it was played on my best friend's funeral this year (cause it was the music he liked the most).. I can't even listen to it anymore.
I agree about Hurt too, but I prefer Johnny Cash version, and also Fake Plastic Trees, but this one goes right aside with Creep from Radiohead too.
Nowadays I feel pretty sad when I hear Sweet Jane from Cowboy Junkies, version Natural Born Killers soundtrack.. I dunno, guess it's something on her voice.
