sometimes the idea of "greater good" is manipulated to pass laws that should not be. it's a hard thing to take a stand on though, because honestly child molesters and rapists are shit and should be slaughtered. But i am a principled person, and the base of this law really is unconstitutional. i don't think the greater good is really helped along by this website. what does it tell you, that there are potentially dangerous people living around you. well no kidding. there are potentially dangerous people living everywhere. it gives you a face, but kids should be taught to be wary about all strangers.
drunk driving is a terrible thing, i agree, but once again it is something that i feel is being implemented in a horrible way. i don't like checkpoints of any kind, it's a little naziesque to me, and some of the limits are ridiculously low, .08? that is insane. i can't go out to dinner, have two beers and a shot, and drive home. that seems silly to me, i am certainly not impaired after 3 drinks with dinner, but by the letter of the law, i am driving while intoxicated.
drunk driving accounts for about 40% of all fatal traffic accidents. doesn't say much for the sober team now does it?
