i am all for putting child molestors in jail for life, or even really killing them outright.

BUT the point of our prison system is rehabilitation. i you sentence someone to 10 years for child molestation, and they get out, acording to the law, they are "reformed".

so it is blatantly unconstitutional to make them register themselves and get petitions signed before they can move into neighborhoods.



once again, kill them, put them in jail for life, castrate them, but if they get out of jail they have deemed rehabilitated by the state, and should not need to undergo the kind of embarrasment that they do.

i make this argument, because if they can do this with these types of crimes, what is to stop them from doing it with drunk driving, for example?

you fuckup, and get caught driving drunk, you goto jail, pay your fines, and then you want to move into a nice house and start your life again. but you have to go door to door in your neighborhood, and get all your neighbors to sign a sheet saying that it is ok if you live there, and your picture is plastered up on a website for all to see.


now it COULD be argued that this is a matter of public record, and it is. however, the format the information is presented in is not satisfactory.
