from henceforth, i will call it "child exploitation', with the abbreviation of CE.
CE is very bad and people like Attorney General Gonzales, Oprah, and all the moral right, feel that CE is equated to porn, more specifically the online adult entertainment industry.
Now that the term is called what it is, what next?
Having everyone hold hands around the country, or shout out "CE is not related to porn" at the same time on the same day, would be action, and would have focus.
if your measure of success and your main point is that people should stop calling it Child Pornography, then you have won your point. i don't like to use the phrase 'child ponorgraphy' outloud in public when i am discussing to people the work that I do with ASACP.
'Child Exploitation' ("CE") is a more digestable phrase...
which is one of the reasons why ASACP changed its name to Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection..... in order to keep the acronym the same..
so what happens next? will the self-use of the phrase "child exploitation" help to paint the adult biz in a different light?
understand that i get involved in things to make a difference, so my whole point is to do something, not just talk. i think your discussion points help to bring awareness, but you lack a direction to harness that energy, and negate the good work that organizations like ASACP and FSC to do promote the industry in a better light.
Fight the CE!
