Maybe you believe that newbies should stay put and shut up, and you're probably right because most of the time we've got fuck-all useful to say, but I'd just spent 30 mins of my life reading that sodding thread and I wanted to say something......anthything.

No, don't stay put and shutup, just try not to make comments unless you know what you are talking about. Most of what you said I agree with.
