This issue has also been beat to death.
Licenses are in place for a reason. If you abuse them, you lose them. No refund. PERIOD.
Fuck you and anybody else who is too fucking stupid to understand how basic business works.
DMV: You drink & Drive, you lose your license....And they don't refund you your license fee. The bank does not put your car payments on hold or refund them either. Same for the insurance company.
The kid fucked up and I made a legal and moral decision. I also got the opinions of some very well known program owners about this and they agreed with me 100%.
