Well, just because someone "looks" and/or "whispers about you" doesn't always mean it's a bad thing. If I were to see the both of you out together, I have to admit that I would probably take a second glance myself. Why? Because of your difference in height. That doesn't mean that I have any negative thoughts about either of you, just that I find the height difference to be interesting or eye catching.
If you're both happy with one another, then fuck whatever anyone else thinks.
