Well, coming from that generation, this is the first time I have even heard of these "banks" much less ever saw one.
While he was probably a John Bircher, and may have had 15 million produced for distribution, I would be quite surprised if he achieved his goal unless he had members put them in kid's trick or treat bags on Halloween.
I remember we used to get some weird shit from the John Birch Society on Halloween . . . like packages of gum like you would get baseball trading cards, but the pictures would depict war scenes.
