The way to go in a contest like this is to put everyone's entry up but not put their names beside them. That way people can vote on the work and not have the temptation to vote based on the person. Entrants should be sworn to secrecy about whose entry is whos, and there would be no room to bitch whatsoever.

Lensman ran such a competition, in the miss GFY contest, when each girl had to write an article answering a seriies of questions. No one was told whose submission was whos, it made for a more interesting competition as well.

Something to remember for futer contests of this nature. No names.
