It's one thing in say CD_Smith's case, where he runs contests (trivia questions for prizes), helps new webmasters maximize their revenue with personal help, and is a genuine BENEFIT to a sponsor on GFY. He's a perfect example of how in a perfect world, sponsored sigs would be an asset.
But for every CD_Smith there are ten jackasses here posting "thumbs up" in every thread simply to qualify for some idiotic sponsor prize. That's the real issue.

CD Smith's threads are great. Maybe there should be an ISO type of thing people can agree on? So if people comply with the quality standards they agree not to bash 'sig whores'?
