You do indeed need a show badge to enter the hotel.
THAT SAID: We've just solidified a solution for those with evening guests. People with badges will be able to get complimentary temporary passes to the event for their guests in the evening. If security sees those people wandering about the next day, however, they will be asked to leave... until the next evening...
