Might I remind all of the Americans here that most movies are made in Canada? Not to mention most of the actors and actresses.

And 9/11 isn't a defence mechanism for Canadians. Al Quaida and the Taliban and all them aren't against "Freedom" and all that shit, they're against the US running amok and controlling how the world runs. The US government just says they're against freedom to keep the blind faith Americans have in their government intact.

Most Americans see the US as the "protector of democracy", when in fact, they are much more like the "guys that keep shit running the way they want it".

9/11 wouldn't be famous as the day the US got ass-raped by a bunch of towelheads if the United States wasn't so aggressive in trying to control how things work in the world.

The US acts as though they are on a mission from god.. sent here to keep the world in order. They throw their military into places that they don't belong. They get involved in other countries affairs... The US reminds me of the busy-body at work who's always getting on everyone elses nerves.

If anything, the US should throw out their military policy and re-write it to be more like Canada's. Canada believes in Peacekeeping, not policing. Why go into a country and fight with one side (the side that is more democratic and American-like), and wipe-out any one that doesn't agree with the US and their policies? Go in with your guns slung over your shoulders, wearing smiles and giving your rations to little kids, don't go in with your guns a'blazin, cammo paint on your face, eating your rations in front of 50 pound 15 year olds.

The US is much like ancient rome. They control things now, but ancient Rome fell at one point, and then the power shifted. The exact same thing will happen with the US one day (hopefully, sometime soon). I'd much rather have the British, who are more passive, then aggressive.

As far as the comment on Canada not being involved in Afghanistan, I'm happy we are almost completely pulled out. It isn't our war, it isn't Britians war. I don't even think it can be called a "war" at all.. It is America's fight, because the hate and attacks where directed at the United States and its inhabitants.. Sure, the people that hate the US disagree with the way most countries live, but they only disagree with how we live, not how we run the world. They didn't knock over some buildings because they don't like the idea of freedom, they knocked over some buildings because they (like everyone else) are sick and tired of the United States and all the bullshit it throws around on this planet.
