i agree hatton/gatti would have been amazing although i don't think it will happen now. but if mayweather doesn't move up to welterweight then hatton will give him his hardest fight at that weight and has a better chance than any at that weight of beating him.

He was wrong. A 25 yr old Kostya beats the holy dogshit out of 35 yr old Kostya and Ricky Hatton the same night. Even so, KT might have been able to pull it out if Hatton wasn't allowed to hit and hold all night, and the massive ballcrunching punch Hatton laid on him didn't help either. In fact, if they have a rematch in the states or Australia I'd bet heavy on Kostya. It may be that he just had a bad night, it happens, but it looked to me like he couldn't release his punches, and that's a sign of a fighter's reflexes going out the window. He's at that age. I hope I'm wrong.
Sharmba wasn't much, he was getting long in the tooth himself and he quit when he started getting beat up in their first fight, which is something that everyone seems to forget for some reason. His leg didn't start hurting until KT's punches started to find their mark.
Don't get me wrong, I like Hatton personally and he's an exciting fighter, but he's nowhere near a prime KT's level or Mayweather. He's a mauler with high energy and a decent punch.
