I got it, ifconfig eth0 |grep 'inet addr' |awk '{print $2}'
My main problem now is that I need to get that saved in a variable, and i cant do
VAR = ifconfig eth0 |grep 'inet addr' |awk '{print $2}'
echo $VAR
